Shelby started playing volleyball when she was 11 years old and has never looked back! Volleyball has always been a passion of Shelby’s. It has helped her get along with and work well with all kinds of different personalities, and she has made some of her best friends through playing volleyball. Shelby graduated from East High School in Cheyenne, WY where she played volleyball and basketball. Shelby was a Middle blocker for the Thunderbirds. She was a 3-year letter winner for the sport, and also earned two 4A All-Conference honors, and one 4A All-State honor. In her off season, Shelby played for the NORCO Volleyball Club. After high school, Shelby played for Black Hills State University where she was a standout Middle hitter. During her time there, she earned two All-Tournament, All-RMAC, and All-Academic honors. Shelby graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. Shelby has been a part of strong and successful volleyball programs both in high school and in college, and has helped coach at many satellite and team camps during her career. When she isn’t playing volleyball, Shelby can be found lifting, biking, wakeboarding, or hiking with her dog Burkley.
