SUPPORT COACH

✅ Knowledge of the game

✅  Maintain athlete safety

✅  Provide encouraging

Support Coaches have basic volleyball knowledge but can assist in many ways—helping with drills, shagging balls, managing equipment, and encouraging athletes. They gain exposure to coaching while providing valuable support to the team.

SKILLS COACH

✅ Level 0 requirements

✅  Maintain athlete safety

✅  Provide encouraging feedback​

Skills Coaches demonstrate both technical understanding and professional skills needed to deliver effective, up-to-date, and scientifically supported instruction and training. Their focus is on teaching polished fundamentals, reinforcing mechanics, and providing consistent feedback to athletes.

LEAD COACH

✅ Level 1 requirements

✅  Drill master                  

✅  Feedback specialist ​

✅  Attend in-person       

            coaching clinic within

    the last 18 months

Lead Coaches manage drills, run practice segments, and give athletes both technical and tactical feedback – that produces behavior change and skill improvement. They demonstrate professionalism, strong communication, and a growing ability to lead teams independently.

✅ Level 2 requirements

Mentor Coaches are proven leaders who consistently manage teams with excellence. They take full responsibility for team development. They plan and execute practices, make in-game decisions, communicate with parents, and mentor other coaches. They are skilled in developing  both player fundamentals and team systems, while modeling Cloud Peak’s culture  and values.

Super Coaches are master leaders who bring extensive experience and mastery in technical instruction, leadership, and athlete development. They mentor staff, design training systems, and represent Cloud Peak at the highest competitive levels. Their impact extends beyond athletes to shaping the growth and culture of the entire program.

At Cloud Peak Volleyball, we believe in recognizing and rewarding the value each coach brings to our athletes and program. Our compensation plan is designed to reflect a coach’s qualifications, skills, and experience — ensuring that effort, expertise, and professional growth are fairly acknowledged.
