SPRING YOUTH LEAGUE
Our Spring League program was created to help develop good, strong fundamentals in young girls and boys in grades 1-8 to help prepare them for a future competitive environment. We are dedicated to teaching quality fundamentals to all athletes and helping each athlete develop a love for the game of volleyball. We will have one session for all athletes in 1st-8th grade.
This is a great option for kids who are involved in soccer, track, or other activities that do not allow them to commit to a full club season!
The 5-week program offers lessons that each feed into the next to create a seamless introduction of skills sets with a series of matching muscle-memory based touches. It blends fun challenges on the court with age-appropriate homework that reinforces progress. With skills comes confidence, and with confidence comes greater progress with each athlete's aspirations.
Different skills and drills will be taught each practice. Drills like Jail Break, Team Popcorn, Noodle and Balloon Strikes, and the Early Bird Special are just a few examples of a typical practice that is both fun AND challenging. Come develop good fundamentals in preparation for future high-level volleyball! Our spring league is very similar to our Fall League; except that we will have more competitive-based games for our older group.
Practices will be once per week for one hour each. Cost is only $50 per athlete! Season will be April 1st to April 29th.
1st-8th grade will be WEDNESDAY nights from 5:30-6:30 pm at SJHS in the new gym.
Registration deadline is March 24th!
