WHAT IT TAKES

TO PERFORM AT YOUR PEAK & GET RECRUITED

01 - PRACTICE

RELENTLESSLY UPLEVEL YOUR VOLLEYBALL SKILLS

Whoever said, "Don't practice until you get it right; practice until you can't get it wrong," had the right idea. That is how good your sport-specific skills need to be. No matter how good you get, there will ALWAYS be room to upgrade your skill set.

Often, a "confidence" problem is a "lack of proper skills" problem.

Gain the right skills, with the right mechanics, and see your confidence soar.

The higher you go, the more your mechanics matter.

This is why we are OBSESSED about finding the best ways to play.

Every skill we teach is what you will see the pro's doing at the highest level.

This is an ongoing process, and when we discover better ways, we use them.

It's not about being "right." It's about doing what's going to help you win more.

02 - ENGAGEMENT

ADVOCATE FOR YOUR OWN SUCCESS AND THE SUCCESS OF THE TEAM

We typically see engagement problems with talented athletes who want to get recruited.  When your volleyball skills are very good, and you are highly competitive (which tends to run in the family), it can be challenging to work with certain coaches, teammates, officials, fans, and parents. These require engagement skills.

Engagement skills are hard to measure but easy to see.

It is your attitude; the way you show up - at practice and tournaments.

Attitude CAN be coached - but not against a person's will. If you tend to focus on the negative, are hard on yourself and others, or think that failure is a big deal, those all show up as ATTITUDE problems.

AND - attitude problems can be corrected. It is a skill like any other.

If athletes (or their parents) behave in ways they should be red-carded for, no one is getting recruited.  It doesn't matter how good you are, or how competitive you are. Recruiting goes beyond that to ENGAGEMENT.

When you have the volleyball skills, and the engagement skills to bring out the best in everyone, recruiters will beat a path to your door.

03 - ATHLETICISM

INCREASE YOUR PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES

Coordination, strength, explosiveness, mobility, and  agility are things that can be constantly improved. Your eating and exercise habits will either help you stay in the game as long as possible, or limit what you can do on the court.

Very few physical characteristics are truly fixed. Most can and should be improved on a daily basis, outside your sport-specific practice time.

All eating and exercise programs are NOT created equal.

The two programs we recommend are simple, affordable, and they WORK.

In roughly 30 minutes a day, you can increase your vertical, bullet-proof your joints from injury, and set yourself up for a successful athletic career and LIFE after college.

04 - KILL IT

GO HARD AFTER WHAT YOU WANT AND NEVER GIVE UP

Competition is where you get to see what you are truly made of.

It is where you get to test out your skills. To see if they will work in a variety of situations, under pressure, with a gamut of emotion.

To play at your peak, you must play teams that will challenge you.

We make every effort to play National events.

These are where we see the highest level of competition to upgrade our game and experience the most GROWTH.

National events are also where the recruiting happens.

Perseverance in the face of failure is the key to success.

Empowered athletes play their best when their best is needed.

Attitudes are the intangible yet powerful thoughts and feelings expressed through actions.

Kaizen sets the standard for life-long learning & becoming just a little bit better today than we were yesterday.

PRACTICE - ENGAGEMENT - ATHLETICISM - KILL IT
